Just a few photos of some knives I had Lisa West from Wolf Creek Forge custom make for me.

I liked these. Kinda bushcrafty.

They're made out of 1095 from Aldo and must be 1/4 stock. Heck the smaller knife almost has an axe head look to it.

Larger striker knife.

Smaller.

I started multiple fires with them. They both spark well and the shape really offers a very nice safe grasp during striking at some expense of the numbers of grips available for knife use. As my primary use for these are strikers that's good in my book. I haven't used the knife function enough to say how the edge will hold up etc. I really beat the heck out of my knives so thankful for the thicker stock. That was an unexpected and welcome surprise. I was told the spine was left hard for sparks and the blade tempered so it won't chip.

Just for fun I made this neck lanyard out of jute for the knives. I will probably use paracord in the field but might also carry the DIY one as it would make for some nice tinder in a pinch. I only spent 25 minutes on it.

Notice the bushcrafty 3 strand braid.

Very nice, but isn't that decorative swirl right where your index finger is going to be? That's some important real estate.

That swirl isn't really decorative. It's there for a handle when using the knife for it's primary function as a striker. I like to keep my fingers far away from the sharp rock. I do have a smaller striker knife from Primal Connections with the area near the blade clear but always felt like my fingers were too near the rock and my grasp a bit unsure. Nice little knife/striker just the same. I am thinking about getting a larger striker knife setup the same way for more knife use.

Those are really nice. That smaller one looks like it would fit nicely in a front pocket as well...
