Wolf River as a bushcraft knife

Inspired by the other recent Wolf River thread I have become most interested in the knife. Although the knife is obviously designed as a skinner would it perform well as a kitchen/bushcraft knife? It will probably find some use as a skinner but it's primary purpose will be woodworking and kitchen use.

not exactly designed for bushcraft, but any knife will work in a pinch. it is great in the kitchen.

For bushcraft and woodworking, the Wolf River wouldn't be my choice, RJ. 'Bushcraft' means a lot of things to different people, but the real gung-ho bushcraft folks seem to like Scandinavian-style grinds, usually simple drop points or other basic designs. Here are some nice examples:

Also check out the knives on ragweedforge.com. Many of the $10-$15 Mora knives you can get there would do quite well.

In the Bark River line, the Highland and Woodland Specials would be better bushcraft and woodworking knives than the Wolf River, IMO

The Wolf River is a great food prep knife, I have a Mora or two for the woodcraft/bushcraft stuff.

Just my luck - Ben's not taking any more orders and I like those knives A LOT!
I like them a great deal, too ..... straight-forward and very functional looking, really very elegant.

On Ragnar's ragweedforge site, you might take a look at the EKA A10, H8 and W11 models, also some of the Brusletto and Helle knives.
