I always fill out the card, but I never win anything - except for this time. Apparently I won a Sharpmaker based on a card I filled out at the Spyderco booth during the Blade show in Atlanta. Thanks to everyone at Spyderco. Not only for the Sharpmaker, but also for making such a wonderful line of affordable knives. Since the Blade show I bought a second Kiwi for my wife (she thinks its beautiful) and a Dodo for myself (I think it's blade does look like a Dodo's bill).
I always wondered if those drawings were legit or just a way to fill up a vendor's data base. I can assure you that Spyderco's was legit because I have the sharpened knives to prove it. The Sharpmaker came in very handy because I split my time between two cities (Atlanta and New Orleans). I now have a Sharpmaker in both places.
As a way to return a little bit of the grace I have been given, I have an offer for everyone. I can use both Sharpmakers, but I only need one video tape. If anyone needs the extra video tape, let me know and I will see about sending it along. In the spirit of Spyderco, pick a number between 0 and 1000. The closest to the number before August 15 gets the video.
