So, my wife works at a local grocery store as the cash office manager. Let me tell you guys, some of you need to be more aware of where your knives are and what they are doing and especially where you are leaving them. LOL.
I digress.
In any case, about a year ago, my wife tells me there is a knife in lost and found. In that time, nobody has claimed it. So she brings it home. It had apparently been lost in the coin machine.
Well, six months later someone else looses another knife. Only much larger. This one is more interesting than the Case because it LOOKS like something Winchester, or maybe Benchmade might have made many years ago.
It came in a "locking", more like friction fit polymer sheath. There are no markings on the blade, sheath or scales. Not even "stainless" or any other alloy ID on it. Seems well made, it's on the heavy side and the sheath passes the "drop test" So, I feel it may be a decent knife. I am not really concerned about the value, just kind of wondering what I am looking at. My first guess is an upper end Wal-Mart knife, but those mostly have markings. But it could entirely be something even lower end than that if they didn't bother to stamp it. Anyway. Let's see what you guys think.
(note: both of these knives waited about 6 months in lost and found for their owners to reclaim them at the store. Anything left over six months gets thrown in the trash. If I had any way of identifying the owners, I would certainly return them)
