Wondering what is the best combo for me?

I already own a BK2. I want to get a few more Beckers once the Tweeners and new coatings come out. I'm thinking a BK5, BK9, and a BK17 will cover most of my needs. What say you Beckerheeds?

I own a BK2, BK9 and BK11 right now. I think I'm going to add a BK17 to the lineup and that and the BK9 will be my go to woods pair. The 11 will be riding along in the 9's sheath (modded the spot for the 13 to fit the 11) as well, but doubt it will be used as much.

I also think the 7 looks great as a single do everything knife, but I haven't had the chance to try it out for myself yet.

Oh, man, now that we have medium size blades, the possiblities are just about endless.

You can combine so many more now, that would give you alot of versitility.

Check these out,

BK9, BK15, BK14
BK7, BK16, BK13
BK5, BK16, BK11
BK2, BK17, BK11
BK12, BK15, BK14
BK4, BK15, BK13

Just a few. Ya'll try and make a 3 knife combo that will cover at least 2 blade shapes and sizes, that will fill the gaps. Think about it, a blunt tip couple with a fine tip, with some muscle thrown in.

We got it good here lads, more knife combos than you can shake a stick at.

*shake, shake**shake, shake*

How about BK9, BK15, BK10.... Chop, slice, and all arounder.

Or BK9, BK13, BK16

I have 2 and 11. Bout to get a 9. And dreaming of a 16.
After that, I think I am covered. But I will add a 5 at some point. And a candiru for bringing to the office.
Other than a pocket knife, I only own BKT, and there is only the candiru that I want that isn't BKT

O'Becker rules!!!!!!

Although we can provide input, the thread name pretty much sums it up... this is the best combo for you, not us. Generically a large blade and a small blade make the most sense as a starting point, but it's important to go with what feels good to you and what your locale is.

I have massive OCDs, so every fixed blade in my possession at 5" or larger is paired with a BK13 Remora, because let's be honest, they kick so much a$$ for so little steel and real estate. If I remember correctly, one of us crazies (read: Beckerhead) made a shelter with nothing but a Remora. This ensures that if I grab any knife in my inventory at 5"+, I know I'm grabbing a duo, so all I need is a mid-sized blade and I'm packing 3 blades.

Based on the details you've given on what your actual needs are, I believe the list of Beckers in your post is not adequate. You should purchase two copies of all Beckers.

Maybe I should have mentioned I also have a Izula, so the 14 and 11 aren't must haves for me.
