I'm interested in the Ontario Rat series of blades, but am wondering if getting the D2 over the 1095 is a big deal as far as edge durability
I handled the Rat 3, 5 & 7 at Military Surplus in Tucson,AZ (nice folks:thumbup: ) today. They have the 1095 in stock but no D2. I noticed some rust already on the edge of one of the 3's and am wondering if this will plague the knife it's whole life in the field, with little to no oiling, just a wipe down after use
Plain or serrated edge is my next question, as I noticed a variation in the serrations on different models Which serrations are easier to sharpen on the rod?
