Won't leave my pocket.

I have a Vic Cadet that no matter how much I try, I can't seem to stop carrying. It is a bit thinner then I would like for my hand, but perfect for my pocket, since I hate anything in there. I try to switch it out for one of my other slippies or SAKs, but no matter what, right before I leave the house, it finds it's way right back into my left front pocket. It is a great little knife, with alot of utility crammed into a tiny frame. Does anyone else suffer from Cadet-itis?

Its the smaller brother to the Farmer, which also gets a lot of love around here.

Try not to fight it - its a losing battle.

Oh yes, I have it full swing. I have a gunmetal one that is gorgeous and such fun to fondle. I wish the anodizing were a bit tougher so I wouldn't feel the need to baby it so, and if it had scissors it would never leave my side.

I'm currently deprived of mine as I'm traveling, and boy does it hurt.

I was fortunate to receive a green Cadet for Christmas (I've got a great fiancee!). The knife hasn't left my pocket since I took it out of the package and I've got a feeling it's there to stay for a while. Sentiment aside, it's a tremendous knife - like already mentioned, super thin for pocket carry but still Victorinox tough and capable.

I heard a few weeks ago that the Cadet is being discontinued. I was surprised because this does seem like a great EDC pocket knife. I think I am going to order a gunmetal. Like the OP said it's nice and thin. I would rather have a farmer in the woods, though. -DT

I could be wrong, but I believe only the colored Cadets are going to be discontinued. The silver one is still going strong.
Yes, it is an awesome EDC. Comfortable in the pocket, loaded with functions in a small package. I just wish the file was facing out, instead of in, because it scratches the crap out of the blade when opening it. Other then that, I really have no complaints. I have learned to deal with it's slim profile in my hand. A great pocket companion.
