I just finished customizing my CRKT LUS. This was my first attempt at a custom job and I'm very pleased with the results. I replaced the zytel scales with black and white buffalo scales (unfortunately, not much white came through), polished the exterior edges of the liners, reduced the hight of the locking liner portion, and polished the pivot a bit. I made the new scales a tad thicker and tapered them from front (pivot end) to rear so it would fit my hand better.

Next is handle slabs for a Stiff Kiss in jigged bone. If that goes well, the next project will be a Koval Knives' Darryl Ralph tactical folder kit. This is sooo much fun...

They're coming. I have to get to a scanner or digital camera. I don't own either. As soon as I get the pics, they'll be posted here

Thanks,

I take my film to Walgreen's and ask for the Photo CD option.
They'll give you film prints and for a small extra charge put all your pics on a CD so you can upload them direct to your puter.

It's sort of rough in some areas. Unfortunately, the faint color striations don't show up well in the scan. I made the scales a tad thicker than the originals to fit my hand better. I also polished the blade. There are some marks left from using the dremel tool. Next time, I'll polish by hand alone to avoid this.

Good job Mtn Biker, I enjoy doing these kinds of projects myself. I did similar work to our Junglee Sahara Jr.

Thanks.

Btw, I noticed you're in Columbia. I used to live there myself. I lived there during the '80s. I bet it's changed quite a bit since then...

mtnbkr,
She looks good.

I had trouble seeing the scales clearly, but I like the polished blade. I wish that they offered it that way.
