Hey guys,
When I was first getting into this knife collecting thing I bought a used Benchmade 690 from a local shop. I thought it was stupid expensive at the time (paid a whopping $90) but the beautiful rosewood scales, cf bolsters and blue liners sold me. I ended up selling it because it was half serrated, and I didn't really appreciate how cool it was. More recently I've seen pictures of a few John Arnold custom folders also rocking CF bolsters and wood scales. Even more gorgeous but I'm just not sure I'll ever be able to bring myself to spend that kind of money on a knife.
Still, the hunger for wood scales and cf bolsters persists. Where should I be looking? Budget is $500, 3.5" blade max.
