I'm in the market for a EDC knife with a wood handle. Preferably, a knife with a good steel, and a one hand opening. Good steel meaning not 440c or any 420, a higher end stainless like s30v would be great. I have large size hands so it has to be a pretty good sized knife. Thanks!

Wilson Combat makes some knives with Cocobolo handles, one I think and Benchmade makes a couple in their HUNT and Bone Collector series. I don't know that a lot of manufacturers of modern folders that use wood, it's more abundant on traditional and fixed blade knives.

Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 21. You can buy it in a variety of exotic wood inlays and has a S35VN steel blade. Of course this depends on your budget, this is not a cheap knife.

Mcusta makes a few wood handled knives with VG-10 or VG-10 damascus blades. There's also the EnZo Birk 75 in curly birch. I think the wood EnZos only come in D2, but I'm told they do a great job with it.

There's also always the Sebenza inlay models or Mnandi if you want to spend the big bucks. Not exactly a "wood handle" though.

Not sure how big it is in the hand but the Enzo Birk 75 comes in D2 or S30v with carbon fibre or a really nice Birch handle. Good luck with finding your blade.
James.

I have a nice Benchmade Bone Collector in walnut with a D2 blade. Benchmade does a nice D2 and the walnut feels really nice in the hand.

Go to that largest outdoor gear store that starts with a C and check out the Alaskan Guide Buck 110.

The Spyderco Sage 4 has wooden scales with titanium bolsters and s30v steel. Very well made lock back. Only a 3 inch blade but a very substancial knife in a good edc size.
