Wood identification

I think it is rosewood, but I'm not sure. The two pics on the canoe are correct for the darkness of the wood. The seat pic is lighter to show the grain.

Rosewood and cocobolo have many color variations, its really hard to tell by looking at the photos.

Have you had it a long time? The seat picture looks like it might be Indian rosewood, which is somewhat lighter colored.

I've had it for 20+ years. It is darker like the red background pics, not the lighter pic, which was just my phone compensating for the indoor garage dimness. I included it to show the grain.
