Wood Inlay on Sebenza

Not sure about the Sebenza, but the wood on my Mnandi is doing great. Granted, it's my weekday office EDC and sees very light office related use. What role would your inlaid Sebenza have?

Mine has been solid for EDC, it's stabilized wood...which is much different than just "wood"....Short of some of the extremely rare mammoth bark, etc....I'd think most all wood inlays could handle what you're gonna dish out for EDC carry

This question comes up a lot and every time it is answered the same way................

If you have one, use it and enjoy because there will be no issues with durability. Mine is going strong as EDC for at least a couple of years and the only thing that has happened is that wood has become darker through constant handling from the natural oils in my skin.

I would think its fine as long as you don't use it around harsh liquids like grease, salt water and harsh detergents.

I've been EDCing small Annual (curly maple) for a few weeks now, and took a large Annual (box elder) to a couple of camping trips this summer. Large one has seen wood work, food prep and some watery situations (not salty). It's having no problem whatsoever, and I now much prefer the thickness of inlayed Sebenza both small and large over the plain ones. Mnandi (snakewood) has been in constant use for about a year now and the wood is holding up just fine as well.

With normal use it should do fine.
My Mnandi does.
Think about the use of wood in hunting equipment, so it should be no problem.

I just picked up a large with bloodwood inlays and it is going to be my edc. The inlays look pretty durable.

I am planning on using a little Renaissance Wax on the inlays from time to time to keep them healthy.

Giant1,are you carrying a lignum inlay large? If you are I think I know that knife.

Thank you everyone for your input. I ended up ordering a large with cocobolo inlays. This might be the hardest thing waiting for it to get here.
