Okay, okay, okay. I am not trying to start the wood inlay thing up again. Of course their so beautiful it wouldn't hurt anything! My question, or maybe comment, is about the spacer at the rear and the thumb button. On my 2000 ironwood inlay both have been anodized gold. Is this standard on the wood inlay models? On my plain jane Sebenza they are anodized blue. Also noticed, I think, not sure if eyes are playing a trick or not. But the CR 2000 that is engraved on the handle slab looks like it has been anodized gold. Is it? or is it my eyes?

No,your eyes are not playing tricks on you. My woodie has the same atributes as yours. I have the small curly maple. The knife seems to open smoother than my other Sebenzas. I like the way the inlay allows the thumb to slide right to the opening stud (also anodized gold). It's a wonderful knife, I am very happy with mine. The CR 2000 on mine is also anodized gold. Subtle, but it's there. I'm looking at mine right now.

Artsig,
All of the Umfaans I have handled also have had both spacers anodized blue as well as the dual thumbstud.

Both wood inlays I have, a 1999 California Buckeye, and a 2000 maple burl, have gold rear spacers and thumbstuds. The only difference other than the wood, damascus and year, of course, is that the 1999 has satin finish fasteners and not the shiny finish of the 2000 knife's fasteners.

My GC Sebs all have blue thumb studs and spacers. The radiating lines in the Ti scale are anodized gold, however. The 2000 knife is shown as an example. All plain sebs are blue/blue as well.
