We have been receiving many questions about wood species available from the custom shop.

Our laminating process allows for multiple woods to be used, and accenting is always a plus with contrasting woods, such as ebony and blonde curly maple, or osage orange and cocobolo.

Pricing on premium and exotic wood handles are assessed on a case by case basis.

What woods would you like to see in YOUR Rogers Rangers Tomahawk handle?

Andy;
How much would a custom laminated handle cost for the RR Light Infantry Hawk and would this be something I could install my self?
:confused:

I don't know a whole lot about wood and I wonder which available wood would make the strongest haft (or does your lamination process already increase the strength?) Strength is obviously my first concern, but if the wood is good, I'd love a Ranger Spike hawk with a birdseye maple handle to match my Les Paul. :cool:

Oh, and how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck had ATC 'Hawks for TEETH?!?!? :eek:

Oh, and Andy,
did you get my e-mail?

(my apologies to all, but I'm feeling a bit loopy right now)

Not as loopy as I was when I was taking your Hawk to the nearest tree on Walnut Street in Ridgewood!!!! :):eek:

Got all your notes Wulf....just playin catch up on the e-mail tonight and tomorrow. Good to hear from you.

Maple has a tensile strength similar to glass.......very brittle...though, when laminated with something dense, like African Leadwood or Cocobolo, you have a VERY strong handle.

MuzzleUp.......send me an e-mail off line regarding your wood specie preference and we will work up a quote.
