I've been thinking about making a set of wood scales for my BK-7. if I like them I'll do another set for the 5 as well.
Has anyone made any for their knives? What kind of wood did you try? Any do's or don'ts you care to share?
Right now I have some small pieces of cherry, walnut, and popular I thought I might try. I'm thinking the popular may not be hard enough, but the walnut I think would look great.
