I just got a Lg Classic Bacote inlay.I was expecting normal Sebenza quality but when it got here I opened it up and it is much smoother than any other Sebenza I have handled. The finish is very nice and the edge seems sharper than a plain Sebenza.Do they give a little more attention to the wood inlay Sebies?
I had been wanting one for a very long time and it was worth the wait.I just love everything about this one.

I think they do, woodies seem a little smoother to me too.

(Or it might just be psychological.)

I suspect wood inlays and other limited CRK pieces get special attention from Mr. Reeve.

well, the large Classic woodie wouldn't be limited ed., but it IS considered special order, so it may get special attention...

and of course as Sebenzanistas we mustn't think that's disparaging the "naked" Sebbies,
no: the miracle is, if the plain Sebbie is already considered perfect, we woodmen get something more perfect, so beyond perfection ;-)

happy handling

Both classic and limited edition woodies that I have owned did seem to have nicer action than the stock sebbies, and even unique graphic ones.

My first real knife purchase was a large bocote classic. I have never handled a plain sebenza, all I know is that my woodie is perfect in every way.
