I have finally finished this knife I made after several times replacing the handle. Now I need a sheath, I would go with leather but I know nothing about leather working and I really want to make the sheath myself. I thought an all wood sheath would be nice, but I'm having some issues with the overall design. The biggest issue is the retention method. I would think its too handle heavy and to short to just sit in the sheath. I thought about maybe a magnetic open or closed faced sheath, but would that even be possible? The next issue would be the carrying method. I thought a belt clip, like the ones on flintlock issues that could work if it is a closed faced sheath, but maybe someone here would have a suggestion.
