Wood supply

Does anyone know of a supplier who would have a piece of stabilized maple, or redwood (any burled wood really) in the size range of 6x2.5x3? I am having some trouble finding a site that has anything much bigger than 6x1.5, thanks for all the help!

I recently ordered some burl from righteous hardwoods. Got great service and some beautiful wood. Also ordered from D&D woods but I'm still waiting for delivery. What you might look for is turning blocks to find the bigger size. Be aware that most of this wood will come to you green and waxed. You'll need to stabelize it. Hope this helps.

Tom, it is for a khukuri handle, the knife is pretty big about 19" overall, and it weighs in right around 3 pounds- I may need a bigger piece .
