What are the different types of wood used in the wood inlay Sebenza. Which are the dark one and which are the light one. If you have pictures of your wood inlay Sebenza I would love to see them. Thanks

11days,

Here is the CRK web site and discusses the different types of wood used:
http://www.chrisreeve.com/woodsebenza.html

If you e-mail them (creeve@micron.net) they'll be more than happy to assist you further.

IMO Red Canyon Knives has one of the largest and best selections of Chris Reeve knives.
Talk to Travis and he should be able to hook you up! Here is some pictures on his web page:

You'll be able to contact Travis via his web site....

"We always train hard - but it seemed that every time we begin to form up into teams we reorganized. We learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing, and what a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while actually producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization."

I am pretty sure that you can choose your type of wood, and I think that some of these prices vary, I havent checked out these links that GIGONE put up but they seem like good ones....

Please allow me to refer to the wood inlay section on our web site:
"The wood chosen for the inlays are prime grade pieces that have been stabilized. (Stabilizing is process that replaces the air and moisture in the wood with polyester resin, resulting in increased strength and durability.) We are not able to offer special orders in the choice of woods as all inlays are selected at random from the most interesting pieces we can find. The woods that we are using are Southwest Maple Burl, Southwest Spalted Maple, Southwest California Buckeye, Box Elder and Curly Maple."
Currently we are adding to the list of woods to be used as inlays, such as walnut and madrone, but unfortunately we are not able to accept special requests for a specific type of wood. Besides....that would eliminate the anticipation/excitement factor!
Thanks,
Mark
