So I can't really decide between the two. Looking between TommyTheWho handles or the Ka-Bar micarta handles. I love the look of both. I like how the micarta adds a contrast in color, but wood is always beautiful/classy. probably something darker like cocobolo. I get the feeling that micarta might feel better in hand. I know a lot of people comment on how they love the weight and feel of the micarta. Do you think wood might be too slippery without gloves? How might the weight differ?
Both handles are the same price, am I getting more bang for my buck going with wood handles?
I live in Florida, though I don't plan on leaving the knife outside, do you think that having fully wood handles is a bad idea in such a humid area?
Which do you prefer, and why? And don't tell me to get both because I have only one knife to put it on. Also, I won't be putting the knife into too much hard use. More for fondling purposes!
I won't be afraid to use it, but definitely going to be more of a collectors item.
Thanks!
