Woodbox sheath for the 9?

Something similar to this. Maybe closer to a khukuri sheath or something?

like this scabbard I made for a condor khukri machete?

go for it!
I used some scrap 5mm plywood for that one - probably luan, possibly baltic birch.

We have a bunch of thick cedar planks lying around. I think they will do nicely. How exactly did you go about doing yours?

traced the knife, added 3/8" all the way around, cut out 2 of those - then cut out 3/8" wide welts and glued it all up with titebond 3 and sanded the edges smooth.
the leather was attached with barge cement.

Thanks for the advice. I think I may use the original khukuri style for adding leather to to outside.

if you're going to do that, use one piece of wood 1/2" thick and carve the blade shape out of it, then cap with a 1/4" thick piece.
