I came across a marbles woodcraft the first one I could get my hands on I need to know if the spine from the thumb ramp to the point I supposed to be sharp .thanks for any help

I could be wrong because I don't own one - but I'm almost positive it is not supposed to be sharp. Obviously there is a swedge but I don't think there is supposed to be a cutting edge.
Congrats on getting one! I would love to have an old Marbles. Do you plan to use it?

not supposed to be sharp....a little pointy for separating joints maybe but not sharp

thanks guys this is why this forum is great because of the help people give. I have not got the knife yet a buddy of mine got it have not decided if i am going to talk him out of it yet THANKS AGAIN GUYS

Sharpening the top edge of the blade is usually limited to fighting type knives. Many knives have a swedge, which can help with blade penetration or may just be there for aesthetics.

A woodcraft type knife wouldn't benefit from having the top edge sharpened. A sharpened top edge might even be a hazard.
