$20 12,000+ grit stone from Guangxi China. This puppy soaks some water, much more than I expected for such a high grit. I don't have a reliable way of saying if it does any better than my 8,000 King, but my edges are shiny and stupid sharp going to this from 4,000 King or ultra fine Spyderco. At a third the price of a Shapton 12.000 M5, seems ok.

Sharper and more shine than a UF spyderco? and does it work well with harder steels?

Great, just what I need, another stone:D

I have the larger one. I use it on my straight razors as a final polishing stone before stropping. It is a polishing stone and very slow cutting. It takes 40-80 laps to get the edge where I consider it finished. I haven't even considered it for my knives.

Lapping it can take a while, even on a DMT 8C.
