I posted a pic of one of my FF knives elsewhere and a guy remarked that he would like one but was woriied about a desert climate having adverse effects on the wood. Aren't you doing some environmental testing based on various water samples? Thought I read that. Also thinking the woods you use are stabilized, so perhaps the harsh dry or humid climates may not take a toll on the wood?

Even though most of the wood we use is stabilized you still
run the risk of warpage or shrinkage in a desert climate. I believe Andy himself will tell you wood is an inappropriate choice

A desert climate will shrink wood, even stabilized wood. I'd stick with phenolics if I were you.

I was the one that posted that! I love the wood handles, but would not want to risk ruining one out here in the desert. Micarta is great!
