I recently got this gift from my mom for my 16th birthday, along with a '94 Blazer, a Carhartt jacket, and a Leatherman PST. Any way, On topic: She got this at a swap shop type deal because she thought I would think it was nifty. I do and would like to see how the forum feels about it. It may be home made or it couldve been a kit, no clue. Any info or opinions are welcomed.

Yeah, neat! I would put this into the realm of folk art. It appears handmade.

Do the blades have a snap? The term "walk and talk" is used to describe the action:
"Walk and Talk: This describes the actions of a pocket knife when opened and closed. The walk describes the feel of the tang as it moves along the spring when the blade is opened. The talk refers to the sound of the knife when the blade is closed. A well adjusted knife "walks and talks" (has a nice strong snap and has blades that slide smoothly across the springs)."
