A regular Sebenza begs to be used, but what about a woodie. I just hate to see that beautiful wood marred or scratches on that polished titanium. How about you woodie owners, do you use them or keep them safely stored.

I have four. I say use em! But like any fine tool, use them carefully. I find that the wood inlays seemn to show less wear than their plain counterparts. Twice I marred the wood, sent them back to CRK and both times they came back like new. I say use but with caution.:D  ;) :p

Woodies are for using...
Oh, sorry. I thought you were talking about something else.

:D

That's the real problem I have with my better knives. I love to use them but I want to keep them pristine for my collection too. On balance, my Sebbies are for using. But if I could have one for using and one for keeping perfect...

I've used my small classic wood inlay everyday since I received it. It sees most of it's work at my job (shop/office environment) or around the house. I deal with everyone from suits to burn table operators on a daily basis and the small wood inlay is never out of it's element. Nice enough to hand to someone to use at a fine restaurant but strong enough to handle serious cutting chores in the shop. It has a few scratches near the tip of the blade and some scratches and scuffs on the polished handle. So far the wood has not been scratched or dinged at all. It's holding up very well. It still looks great and is getting smoother (without any blade play) everyday. Not to mention I can always kill a couple of minutes on the job staring at the wood pattern. :)

Now to pick up a large wood inlay to carry around the house and the woods when not working.

The only negative to the small wood inlay is that it makes my two large plain sebenzas feel like they are missing something. You know, thin and somewhat unrefined. But the solid slabs can take a heck of a beating that the stabilized wood probably couldn't take. So the large plain classics will be staying around. Well, at least the one I use all of the time. The other may have to be sacrificed in the name of the wood inlay spirits.

So, after all that, I say use them.

every guy uses his woodie, even if he doesnt admit it.
just remember to use lubrica...................
wait, oh ****, your talking about sebbies, oh um, yeah, use them too.:p

I'd like to use my lg. Classic Bloodwood I got last mo., but so far haven't been successful. I take it out and pet it everyday...that might count as personal "use".;)

I have to say USE IT!

The first Seb I bought, small trailing moon, was babied, carried in a sheath and eventually sold. Greatly unappreciated.

Last week I bought a large Classic Woody, bloodwood inlays.

Went straight into my pocket and there it shall stay.
