I heard from a friend who was approached at the Blade show by a company named Woodlab that does stabilizing with no minimum and free dye. I talked to the owner, Michael Balaskovitz, on the phone in November and was assured by him that he did quality work. I packed up over 50 wood handles and the post office tells me that he received the package on November 15th. I called him last week to ask about the status of my order and he told me he was at a show and did not have any records with him but if I could call him on Monday he would put my order at the top of the list. I have called him twice this week, left messages and sent him an e-mail with no response. I am starting to worry about my handles. Anyone had any experience with this company?

other then talking with him at the show i have not but the wood looked good and i might be giving him a try at some point

Gerry,

I also sent him some wood back in November. I talked to him about two weeks ago. He said that he had a lot of wood come in at one time and that his turn around was taking longer than normal. I’ll let you know when I get mine from him.

Micheal's shop is about 15 minutes from my house and I've dealt with him numerous times. He's good people, usually he only takes a week or so to stabilize anything I bring him. I know he teaches at a local community college so maybe he's busy with that being the end of the semester and all?

One more vote to say you're probably okay. I've dealt with him a few times before and also met him in person. I'm sure he's just busy as others said.

Thanks for the assurance guys. I will continue to wait and report back.

I'm also waiting on getting some wood back from Michael. This is not the first time I've dealt with him and I've been very happy with his work. I'm not too worried about it as he has been great in the past. When I sent off the order he said he was completely swamped so it would be a little longer turn around time and to not worry if he didn't answer the phone, it just meant he was working on getting orders processed. I will also chime in when my recent order gets back to me...
