Woods blades from Pakistan??

Let me start by saying that I'm not a knife snob. Growing up, most of the outdoorsmen around me carried pretty humble blades, used them more than they talked about them, and considered Buck and Schrade to be top end blades (deservedly so, IMO). Having said this, my experience with blades coming out of Pakistan is that they generally inexpensive, and leave a lot to be desired (i.e. proper heat treating...). My wife saw this little blade and thought it looked really pretty and bought it for me. I read "Made in Pakistan" on the box and started preparing a lie about how much I liked the knife. When I opened the box I was kind of surprised, the blade was quite sharp and polished, the sheath actually appeared to be made from something that resembles leather. The blade indicates that it is made from 440 (440A I assume, if the the marking is honest..). The blade took a wicked edge, and appears to hold it from the little bit of experience that I have had with it... I'm pretty impressed, given that it cost $20. I'd be interested in seeing more of this line. Anybody had any experience with these?

Not to my liking, but I'm glad it's working well for you so far. :)

My experience with pakistan/chinise blades is that they're more expensive than Moras, but are no where near the Moras in terms of quality and heat treat . :)

The pattern isn't my first choice either (though I'll admit that the grip comfortable...). What surprised me is that the finish and overall quality is much better than I have seen from Pakistan...

No argument there.. Most of the Pakistan blades that I have been given over the years were pretty much unusable. I see a difference with this particular blade. I believe that Bone Collector makes several other patterns, while I'm not gonna throw out my Mora 780 for one of these, I will say that I have held much worse knives! I am encouraged to see this kind of improved quality anyways....
