Took a long walk in the woods. I thought I would share a few pics. Nothing to write home about, just a few things that caught my interest a long the way.

Cool pics!

That rock formation in the second pics is pretty cool!
I like it!

Thanks for sharing.

Nice! Was there a bear in that cave?
What is that in the first picture? Could you make out the logo on it?

Amazing Clarity. It makes me want to learn how to use my lady friend's expensive camera.

That first photo sure pushes some button deep in me that says..."skull" every time I look back at it. Maybe Inca or Mayan.
I don't even want to know what it really is.
Can you say why you singled out this trail-side treasure for a portrait?
It's like an inkblot test for crying out loud!
Nice photos.
Does it ever snow in your neck of the woods;.
If you want to see moss where I'm at you'll have to wait 'til May!

Ok...let me hazard a guess..the first photo was an oil filter used as a target.
I just couldn't NOT try to fill in the blanks.
Can't help myself!

Lads;
I was merely commenting on the shape and configuration, not the materials or the actual identity of the first photo's subject.
Obviously a rusted, once painted, metal a canister used as the recipient of muzzle-fired projectiles and left to rot.
Sorry if my minor leap of imagination confused you.

awesome pics, good eye for hidden details!
thanks for sharing!

what camera and lens were you using?

Thanks guys, there is not much to take pictures of in the woods, at least I have a hard time finding anything. Walking in the woods is my favorite pass time though.

It is a skull and this is my house on 12/20/2009:eek:

Yeah right!!! But, yeah we got some snow this year:)

Anyhow, that cave is my home thanks for the nice comments about it:D

I shoot nikon with a cheapo 50mm.

Not sure what that tank used to be but it does look like a skull if you are drinking. I can see it. The two shotgun slug eyes and so on:thumbup::p

We're just playing around, i'm sure neither MM nor I thought you had a rusted tank confused with a Mayan skull.

Thank you.

Yeah right Uncle. That is just another one of the monstrous homes being built down the road. I took a pic when I was driving around in the snow:)

There was a house even bigger right next to it that was demolished. They must just be building them to blow them up:eek::D All of this in just the last two years.
