Woody for the Woody

Hi Dan. I didn't think CRk made the sebenza in anything but large! ;) :D I passed on a chance for a small inlaid classic as I like 'em big.

Figured I needed a lighter woody to go with the large redwood burl. I normally like the darker woods but have a "soft" spot:eek: for curly maple.

Scott Dog........WHAT do you NOT have? ;) :D

Man I am LUVING these woodies!!!

Hi Trane. I was over at the Hickory show on saturday in search of a plain jane Classic or Regular in the large size. Just missed the only one there by about 30 minutes. Saw plenty of smalls and that is where I saw the small inlaid classic. First thought was that YOU had ben there ahead of me and had gotten the large Sebbie:eek: Uh....you didn't get it , did you?  :D

No, I missed the Hickory show this time. Was the small inlay Sebbie at the booth run by the woman from Winston-Salem? I bought an Mnandi from her at the last show.

Here's my small 2000 Curly Maple with raindrop damascus.

VERY nice Scott! Just got the large curly maple. From the pictures I wasn't sure about a lighter wood as all the woodies I've had have been darker woods; ironwood, and the redwood burl I currently have. The curly maple is OUTSTANDING! I put a coat of Ren. Wax on the wood and the stripes on the curly maple give it a kind of holographic effect....very:cool:   indeed. Action, lockup, fit & finish are typical Sebenza, meaning perfect. Lockup on both of my woodies takes place at about 25 to 30 percent of the blade tang being covered with just a bit of stick........just the way I like it to be.

CRK......you've done it again!! :D :)

Say Scott, you get that holograpic look? It is SO cool!

WOW......this wood is amazing on the curly maple sebbie! I think it has got me hypnotized!

Nice to see you back, Art. Isn't life interesting as it comes full circle?;)

Looks like I will be picking up one of your large 2003 inlays!:D  ;) :p

Wow-wee! Just got a large classic with snakewood and gold wire inlays. This is one more sweet knife, posted in the Gallery section with a picture. The snakewood is advertised as premium grade and I believe it as it has some of the best definition I've seen in a long while. The gold wire inlay just adds a classy touch to an already classy piece of cutlery. Man is it ever going to be fun carrying this one!!:D  :)
