I love dogs and always have. I have been blessed to have had a few of them over the years and my life has been much richer for it. Every dog I've had has shared one unique trait, a seemingly endless supply of unconditional love and affection to share. They truly are angels with paws!
This is my best friend Sammy (his "real" name is Sampson but he only hears that when he is being bad, such as completely destroying a $1,500 leather couch
). We adopted him from a shelter two years ago. At the time, we thought he was a yellow lab, but we have since come to find out that he is more likely a Rhodesian Ridgeback (put up for adoption with his four brothers because he does not exihibit the characteristic ridge of hair down his back except when he is really worked up about something!).
This was him just after he came home, about 9 weeks old...
Here he is last summer, such a goof...
And in his favorite spot (I think this is where that saying about a "dog's life" comes from).....
He is possibly the best dog I've had so far (and I've been blessed with some great ones). He is incredibly affectionate to our family but seemingly fearless of anything. He is extremely protective, especially of my wife, but gentle and fun at the same time. Needless to say, we all adore him!
So, who greets you when you come home? Brightens your day when you're down? Hits the trail tirelessly whenever you ask him or her to? Let's see some pics of your dogs!!!!
