Ok So it was my 21st birthday on Tuesday. Sadly no presents from my gf or friends, but its all good. The parentals sent me $100 for a present. Well I haven't bought a knife in a long time. Figured I would see what I could do for $40. I know there are alot of pawn shops around here so I started to look around. Well I seemed to find these here. Mind condition. Never used, or sharpened. They have a little bit of rust spots, but I'm about to clean that all up. Man I'm happy. Now I have a fixed blade too. What do ya'll think?

Great snag. I just saw one with an opening bid of $90.00 on an online auction site. I would have been falling all over myself getting out the door with those.:D

i can't be 100% certain, but it looks like you got a 152OT(Sharpfinger) and a 34OT(Middleman).
the 152 i've used for field dressing deer(and occasional elk) for about the last 25 years. excellent blade profile for the job.
the 34OT was, i believe, THE biggest seller of all time Schrade U.S.A. ever had. now that's gotta be a huge endorsement.
Schrade made an incredibly wide variety of knives both under their own names and for others: Buck, Sears/Craftsman, Primble, Van Camp, Chicago Cutlery, etc. if you do the ebay thing, you can still get amazing deals on mint or close to it, Schrade knives. just gotta be 'careful' and patient.
so if you like these and need more Schrades, you can bargain shop on the 'bay.

You suck!! I wouldnt use those two. Keep your eye out for a couple of used ones to play with.

Happy Birthday! That's an awesome find. Show them over at the Schrade collectors subforum so they can drool and cry.

Haha I will. So far I have taken some of the surface imperfections out of each blade. Nice and gorgeous just like they were from the factory. I have also put on very clean nice polished edges on the stockman. And yes it is a 152. A gorgeous knife. Sadly I don't hunt, so I will have to find other uses for it. It is my only fixed blade so it will have to be my woods bumming blade untill I can get something different for it.

:thumbup:Great find and a heck of a deal;), me if'n I would have found them at that price, would have hurried out the door and felt like I just stole them!!!:D Enjoy some fine blades w/ excellent 1095 steel.

Now go find yourself some users and keep them for your kids!!!:p

Happy birthday and good find. The rust spots are a good thing, at least now you can be certain that you have carbon steel there.

The 152 has much more potential than the woods. Here is a review of the 152 by Fred Perrin that will open up the possibilities.

My 152 was reground and sharpened by Fred Perrin (and fitted with a kydex sheath by him as well). It was a gift from a mutual friend (JM) while in Paris visiting both he and Fred in 1999. A great knife and a wonderful keepsake (amongst others) from that trip.

Well I just sharpened my 152 today...man it is a razor. All the blades are now. A bit high of a grind on the clip point, thin grind on the sheepsfoot, bit courser but polished grind on the spey, and a nice fine polished edge on the 152. Great blades overall. Now to start looking to use them on my apples haha

That's Great. the Old Timers and Uncle Henry knives were not "fancy" (regular production ones), but they are really good user knives, under-rated by even some knife-knuts. and a total blast to collect because Schrade made every kind of knife imaginable.
Great to see someone who appreciates his new Schrades.
