Shotgunner made a trade with Ghostwolf for another Izula, so I get to play with the one we already had that has been stripped and patinaed.

Looks a lot like mine, only it came that way (minus the patina and engraving) I like it! :cool:

There's a bunch of ways to do it. Mustard works good, vinegar, cutting up acidic foods and not washing.

Just put the stuff on, smear it around and let it sit.

Yes, I realize that. I was asking specifically what they used, since I recall they posted it once. I think it was some type of jalapeno sauce.
 
It was the juice/vinegar that canned jalapenos come packed in. After it turns the blade take some steel wool and lightly buff the knife. Repeat until you get the patina you prefer. You can do the same with mustard.
 
Thanks. For some reason that patina looks more 'interesting' than the mustard ones I've previously done.
