Just went out on back porch and saw something bright enough I couldnt focus on it. It was traveling from west to the saouth east whn I saw it.

I had enough time to go in and yell at wife and she came out and we both saw it burn out.

It was slow in comparison to any shooting star Ive ever seen.

Probably a new special delivery system of INFI for Blade. Get the heat treat started -- right along with the parte.

LOL! Count me in!

Seriously though T, I have seen something similar before man...like a very slowly traveling shooting star; I was sober as a nun too. Would be interesting to know just what the hell it was.

It was the largest unexepected delivery ever then.

Ive seen things but Ive never seen anything like that....evident in my post above and my typing;):D

that thing has to be closer to OP based on the direction it was heading. Catch it Op:D

Edit: Im in NOVA

If it appeared to be traveling in a straight line, it was probably a satelite. Perhaps it was the International Space Station. These things can appear to be very bright during the early evening as they pass overhead. Although, you are in the dark, the thing is high enough overhead to reflect sunlight from over the horizon. Then as it moves eastward it eventually passes into the Earth's shadow and slowly dims and fades from view.

Was it bluish-white? 3 months ago I saw something similar going for a stroll outside and it looked lke the size of a basketball from where I was standing... It was visible for a few seconds and then it blacked out.

I posted within a few minutes of it happening. It did travel straight .Would that be possible at 9:36-9:41PM EST today?

It was the size of a big plane. It wasnt high enough to be in orbit it didnt appear. I have recent lasik and my night vision is incredible. THe stars around were much further away the second it dissapeared. It was cool. Ive seen comets, meteors big and small, and this was different and travel about the rate of a plane....Anything else has been a blip. Never run inside and get someone to come see it go by with the exception of Hailey's comet.

Very cool.
