Greetings folks, been eyeing the Bone collector 15015 skinner for a while now since it looks like a solid fixed utilitarian EDC, probably going to pick one up over the next couple of day.
But the thing is, either my google-fu is lacking or there isn't much talk about this little blade. Why is that?

Anyone have one?
Also, how does Benchmades D2 fair? I know that its edge holding is quit good, does it go dull like S30v; loosing its hair splitting edge fast but holds a very decent working edge? Or is it more like Sandvic steel, can hold a hair splitting edge for a decent amount of time but once it goes dull it losses its working edge?

Cheers.

Benchmade does a good job with D2.

Likely not talked much about because I don't think it's considered a 'hot' design by most people.

A very good steel that's been around for a long time. BM heat treat is very good. Not much to say about it. It works and works well. Be sure to wipe it down good after use and you'll have years of service from it.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Went and picked one up earlier today, and you guys are spot on, their D2 is really really good, a good step above their 154CM IMO. After some sharpening this knife can whittle hair and has quite some bite to it.
Gotta say thou, this little bad boy is quite a bang for the buck, genuine leather sheath and grooved micatar scales. The balance on this knife is excellent too, center of gravity is placed just on the back half of the index finger groove thingy, one can literally let go of the knife except the index finger and the knife will remain in balance.

Cheers.
