Thought it would be nice to have a thread with the various quotes that have appeared here and there in the HI Forum.

Goodness me! Uncle Bill, I never thought it would come to this, but I am afraid I disagree with you. That particular pearl of wisdom is well worth quoting. I think I would have adopted it whoever said it. There have been many others. This forum is the repository of a good deal of accumulated wisdom and learning. I don't think the day has gone by, when, after a dip into the soothing pool that is the HI forum, I haven't walked away a better, more informed and wiser man.
I thank my lucky stars for the day I bought my first modem...

Sometimes I find words of wisdom to be memorized, but the memory doesn't last very long with so few chances to utilize them.

When a certain amount of essence is accumulated, I want them to be added to the Khukuri FAQ... Frequently Applied Quotes!

I think the proper version is:
