work appreciation gifts - need help

So I had an idea to get gifts to some people who came in and worked their butts off over the weekend plus monday. My idea was a get-r-done appreciation package consisting of:

Duct Tape - Gorilla tape, natch
Big package of various Zip Ties
Preparation-H tube (as a joke)
Nice cocoa assortment
Some sort of herbal relaxation aroma therapy thingie.

SOunds reasonable or am I nuts? Suggestions?
 
A 24 is always more appreciated than misc utility items. :-D

Or just take them all out to the bar and buy drinks on you.
 
I would think durable things would be more appreciated.

You can get Mini-Mag lights at Walmart for $8-$9.

Various SAK's are relatively inexpensive.

Both will last forever.

Big liability risk in doing that. And more and more people aren't drinking any more.
 
drinks and or time off is out of the question, and there's more women then men in this group.

All time favorite gift for such occassions: Leatherman Wave. No one has too many.

They make puzzles from photographs. Find her favorite. Get it scanned high res. Send it in online and they get a puzzle. 40-80$ depending on size. Trust me. They think you are a genius.
 
You know these people, we don't.... But I don't know many people who would be thrilled at getting duct tape, zip-ties, cocoa, & a herbal relaxation aroma therapy thingie. Some people think gorilla tape is wonderful, some people think herbal relaxation aroma therapy thingies are wonderful.... Do you really have to give them all the same grab bag?

If you do I foresee a lot of trading. "Here, gimme your gorilla tape and you can have my herbal relaxation aroma therapy thingie." Why not just give them each two of what they want and spare them the trouble of trading for it?
 
hmmm, geeze, Cougar, that is a good idea. :confused: I'm gift impaired, I admit it.
 
Get the girls a day at a massage place for either a massage, facial or pedicure. Get the guys some sort of tool.

Its the only reason people come to work!!!

I'd be pleased if my boss came around and handed out a few notes at the end of the year!
 
Easy... get the guys a Browning A-bolt in .300 WSM... and for the lassie a set of metric Mac Tools deep well sockets and a breaker bar.


...or maybe a Starbucks and or Borders gift card would be better.




Me, I prefer the flatter trajectory of the WSM cartridge versus over priced coffee.
