Today’s work it’s…. Yes one more slip joint :D
As you can see, I have start to give the shape to the blade and scales, but maybe I will do some changes on the design as I go.
The materials are 3.2mm Rwl-34 for the blade and back spring, stainless liners, but I do not know what kind of material I will use for the scales yet.
Thanks for looking

Orange it is the new black :D
Here we go with an update from this model, I decided to go with orange G10 scales this time just to try something new and I think it is looking good, next step is to heat treat the blade and back spring and after that I will grind the blade and start to make the folder ready.
Thanks for looking

Here it's a little progress from the folder, i have make some file work on the liners and grind the blade.
Still have to fix the tension on the back spring because it is a little too strong for my taste but I’m getting there.
After that, it is time to polish the blade make it sharp and put everything together.
Hope you like it.

Nice knife!
Do you buff the back of the handles? i ask because i noticed here and in your previous work that the spring/liners interface appear a little washed looking at the handle backbone.
Hand sanding it with rigid backup will lessen the chance to round the edges and increasing the likelyhood to have a seamless appearence.
Just a very light touch at the buffer at the very last step of hand sanding will give the wanted (if desired) mirror effect without altering the crisp geometry. Someone will prefer going there only with sandpaper.

I also happened to round the liners/spring edge while lifting the work from the disk sander...another concern to consider!

And here is the final product.
The materials for this one are.
Orange G10 scales, stainless liners, and 3.2mm Rwl-34 for the blade and back spring.
The total length in open position is: 17cm in close position it’s 9.8cm with 6.5cm cutting edge.
