I still need to go back over with some 400-600-1000 and polish one more time, although it is looking pretty good, for my handiwork anyways. right now has a good tacky feeling. Then likely off for a blade spa treatment somewhere.

This was my first NMSFNO so it is kind of near and dear to me, and I made it a user early on and dinged up the black paper a bit, so thought why not? I had good success with my HOGMUK CS with black paper, and it is a fun process. Will look into doing same on some canvas/linen as well.

Those milled handle patterns are hard to get to where there is no trace of them once polished. This also knocks down the overall beefiness of the Mag handles, feels more like my original TG, those "mag handles" feel so much snugger and allow for more evenly distributed palm contact (with my mid-large yet "skinny" hands...

That is gorgeous the NMSFNO is what got me started. Stripped & mirrored. It's seen alot of use and needs some touching up now. I've always thought of smoothing the handle, I'm just not sure how that would go with G10.

Looks great. Hand sanded g10 looks very similar to paper especially oiled. I thought this was black g10 at first glance.

Although I'm a big fan of the NMSFNO's handle texturing-- that fishscale-like pattern is pretty amazing -- I really am smitten with what you've done with the black paper! Top drawer work!

.... I'm just not sure how that would go with G10.

Hand sanded G10 is quite stunning, looks almost like carbon fiber-- the plys show thru nicely...

Also, I'm assuming that you HOGS know G10 & Mic. dust is very bad for your lungs...

on small jobs I use 3M wet/dry submerged underwater in a dishpan...the larger jobs I usually sub-out to the pros.

Well :poop:, with all the other projects I have in mind now I HAVE TO re-polish my NMSFNO and sand and polish the scales. I knew to stop looking at this thread. Thanks alot COPIOUS & Petey2.1. ;)
