So I have had my BK2 for a while now and based on some forum post I got the courage to start modifying it. This is my first mod and really enjoyed it. I didn't do anything to fancy just replaced handles with micarta, stripped the blade and forced a patina with a mustard. Your opinions are welcome.

How did you do the patina? I've been wondering how to do one for a while now, thanks.

oh, and i like it a lot.
 
I like that Mustard Patina. Those stripes came out a lot nicer than most of the ones I've seen. I don't usually like the mustard patina.
 
I used generic yellow mustard and a 2" paint brush to get the lines. I messed up on a small section of blade but i still like it.

dont worry if you use it enough it will wear/buff/scratch off and then the natural will take over and it will be beautiful

Hey DU, awesome work man I love the patina.... Nice sheath also :)

I see you're in Bellflower, I was born there at kaiser on gage.. my old stomping grounds for many years in and around that whole area..

Very nice...... Inspired me to go attack my BK2 and take off the coating...... will post pics when complete.... thanks
