I just got this knife made to my specks by Dave Cole. I have knifes in my collection made by great makers such as David Broadwell etc. I can say this can stand along side all of them with pride. I have asked Dave to explain what it is made of. Thanks Dave and a special thanks to His nbetter half for the GREAT picts. KT

I believe that's Dave Lisch multi-bar damascus.
Very well executed knife and that ivory is dreamy.

Thanks, Kevin, and you're right about the ivory . . . I thought only Hanson had any that color! ;)

good eye Kevin! that is my damascus. Terry ordered it for this project. he wanted something with lots of nickel and I thought it should have an edge wrap as nickel does not make a good cutting edge .

I love the combination of materials in this knife. nice job Dave Cole.

Thanks guys,it was truly a pleasure working with such a nice piece of damascus, David did a beautiful job on it.The guard and othe furniture are blackened brass and the other spacers are Muskox as well as the tip of the finial. Both the mammoth and muskox came from Mark Knapp.Dave

Hi Terry, wow that came out unbelievable, Nice job David. You're right, Black Mamba, Don does have some ivory that nice... he got it from me:D:D. Great knife, Terry
