Here's a link to a thread I started on a man called Storm who passed away this last year and contributed much research and articles on bushcraft and paleotechnology... I read his articles for a couple years, then only just recently learned of his connection to people I know, and then that he passed away...

I compiled some of these articles in memory of him and the work he did.
I thought I'd share with you all!

It's full of goodies and ideas!:D

Enjoy!

Such effort/s are always appreciated. Thank you.

Sad to hear his passing though.

Storm was a GREAT man, as well as a wonderful teacher.
He told everyone that he was doing well after his last Doctor's visit just so noone would worry about him. He knew he was about to die and decided he wanted to do so in the place he loved so he walked into the forest and stayed there till his final breath. This is his homepage, which is permanently hosted in his honor. http://stoneageskills.com/index.html
Please, everyone who is interested in primitive skills and lost technology, read the articles linked in the original post. This man touched more people than most of us ever will and we can't let the experience and knowledge he gain become lost.

Wow, this guy, I like his info on drills, I may try a more modern approach for bow drill, I'm going to learn that next.

Thank you so much for posting that. It's a wealth of information and a way to preserve his memory.

Thanks for posting this. I have read a lot of Storm's writings on poly-pore fungi and was inspired by his oil lamps with poly-pore wicks. I hate to hear that he is no longer with us.
