Work related dreams

I have posted in a different forum asking about a certain work related dream. Let me start by saying I work in the Gulf of Mexico running supply boats that haul material to the rigs for their day to operations. One of the largest I have been on is 265' long by by almost 60' wide. I have not had the dream in a while but when I did it was the same each time. The dream involves me "driving" a boat on the street including working the throttles to stop for traffic lights and maneuvering to turn a corner. Other folks have posted about a same type of dream by different scenario (might be a tug and barge guy towing an unwieldy barge on the street and wiping out telephone poles), but you get point.

Someone has mentioned on there that they have that type of dream when there is a real life issue that they have no control over. They also mentioned that regardless of profession, other people have a similar dream but it involves their job. (Maybe an electrician wiring the inside of a tree or a nurse giving injections with nothing in the syringe)

So, does anyone else have strange dreams about their job that are as ridiculous?

I haven't had too many dreams about that sort of thing. Sounds interesting though. I really think that stress has a lot to do with dreams. I also believe that dreams have to do with our brains practicing our daily actions. A lot of our pipe welders would have dreams about tig welding cover passes for example.

When I was running welding/fabrication crews on fishing boats I used to have stress dreams. But for the most part I didn't dream. Working 18 hour days tend to lead to dreamless sleep, for me anyway. The last job I ran was HORRIBLE. Out of a crew of 16 I had 3 functional members. One of which ended up walking off because he couldn't play nice with the boat crew. I actually tried to throw my best friend off of a scaffold. He was being a D*** though Stressful stressful stuff.

I've had dreams where the stupid people win and start ruling the country... seem almost real... (I do IT support for a living)... WHY CAN'T PEOPLE REMEMBER THEIR FREAKING PASSWORDS... DON'T CLICK THE PORN AD AT WORK YOU MORON... etc etc etc...

I dream a bunch about knives that I can't make... mostly because I can't make them... and at the rate I'm going I'll probably never get to either... (mental note get ass in gear, don't rush... pray the AOAO don't find out, pray more that the neighbors don't complain)
