Does anyone use their Work Sharp device to sharpen their kukris? Just wondering as I have one on the way and am going to use it on my Nepal knives.

I've used mine to touch up some dings on a couple of Himalayan Imports Khukris. Unless your khuks have really thin blades, they're not going to fit in the guides, so it's freehand all the way. I'm still learning, but I haven't had much trouble getting things sharp enough to cut paper cleanly.

I sharpenned my cheap Cold Steel Khukri freehand with my Worksharp. I gave it a descent utility edge since this machete sees alot of action. Anything too sharp and there is a chipping problem.

Good advice JSP.
We have that same Cold Steel Kukri here at Work Sharp and sharpen it the same way.
Freehand with the red P220 belt in either the sharpen position or grind position. It puts on a much improved edge over the rough factory grind.
The belt easily flexes to the high curve blade. If this is a tool that sees real machete action, the P220 is the best (most robust) edge.

Thanks. Where I live, we're surrounded by jungle. I also have some private property on the beach so things can get overgrown quickly. I have a few machetes that get handed out to family members to keep things maintained. I've already sharpenned 3 machetes so far with my WS with great results.
