Work Sharp and S30V steel

just ordered my first knife with s30v and have heard a lot about how hard it is to sharpen. was just wondering does anyone have any experience with using the work sharp knife sharpener with an s30v blade? or if not what do ppl recommend when it comes to sharpening s30v? are there different techniques for sharpening this steel or is it just a matter of using the same techniques as any other steel but it just taking longer?

Your Work Sharp should work just fine. It will take a little longer than on softer steels, but you will get it done. Just take it easy and keep the blade moving and don't slow your process down. You will just have to make more passes, which will allow you to inspect your progress better and adjust as needed. Watch the tip and pull it away before it completely passes the belt. Pull it when the tip is half way across the belt. Good luck!
