Where is the best place to get 1X18 belts for the WS blade grinding attachment? I need a bunch of coarse belts for sharpening blades for the lawn tractor, garden tools, etc. I only see them in the variety packs from Amazon or for $4.95 each from the Work Sharp site.
Thanks.

I only know of the Work sharp site that sells individual belts .just buy as many as you need the price is about the same as getting a variety pack of belts...or try aftermarket belts.

If you're grinding away a good bit of metal, I think the stock "extra coarse belt", which is a P120, is not coarse enough. I like the stiff Norax x200 (200 micron) and x100. I've also had decent results with the P80 (80 grit) belt. I think the x200 grinds faster than the P80, but leaves a finish that's in the ballpark of the P80.

A typical progression for me, on knives, is: x200, x100, x22, x5. On knives that I want a nice very toothy edge, I stop at the x100.

Check out the full list of belts that worksharp sells for the BGA here;

Thanks for all the replies. I contacted Worksharp & they recommended the 120 grit, so I ordered five. If they don't last, I think I'm going to give the Norax a try.

I have a bunch of tractor blades & garden tools that I don't keep up with as I should, so I just wanted something that will remove material fast but also hold up well. The x65 did a nice job on my neglected brush hook yesterday, but it took a while & was pretty much done for till I was satisfied with the edge.

I ordered belts from Econaway this morning and they have already shipped, now that is service.
