Work Sharp Precision Adjust or Ruixin System….Or Something Else Similar for a Good Sharpener? I’m a Novice!!

Hey all.

I’m a novice at sharpening. I’ve had a Lansky basic for many years now and I can get decent results, but not as good as I’d like. So, I think I’m gonna pick up a new sharpener.

The ones I’m looking at are the Work Sharp Precision, the one that comes with the single tri-angle stone, the Ruixin system which has 10 stones, I think. Both are basically the same price at around $60 from Amazon.

If there are other systems worth a look that are in the price range that you can recommend, please feel free. I can use all the help and advice I can get.

Which one do you think would produce better results for me?

One last thing, I would rather not have a system that must attach to the edge of a table.

Thank you all for your time and help.

If your goal is to keep the price low, then I would recommend the Wicked Edge WE60. It is a steal for the price.

I have the work sharp. I would suggest that. It's all one unit and you don't have to clamp it to a table. Very easy to use. To be honest I have never needed more than the 3 stones either. 10 different grits might spend good but I have not needed more than the 3. If you want something finer to finish the edge off then get a leather strop.

Best, easiest sharpener I have used
