Work sharp..

Hello knife lovers... What work sharp should i get the Ken onion one or the normal.. Using it to sharpen folding knives and a few fixed blades nothing huge... Thanks for reading.:thumbup:

By all means get the abnormal one. [emoji15]

The Ken Onion is a guided system that many find useful.

I also suggest the KOWS if you're going to get one. Be aware that you'll likely end up with a slight to moderate convex edge depending on how much pressure you use and how skilled you are with it. I'd suggest practicing with some beaters, especially around the tip area.

Based on what I have heard from those who have had both. Get the Ken Onion. I have the regular one which I got when they first came out. Back then there was no Ken Onion version. I love it but wish it was a Ken Onion.

The KO model is a much better unit by being more versatile, robust and wider belts too.

I'll simply add that the variable speed feature of the KO is a huge plus---you'll have a lot more control of what you're doing at a lower speed.
