Work Shop Pics

Nice workshop. I like the bench in the center; someplace to put things down when you turn around. Did you build the buffer/grinder machine?

Excellent looking shop! Enjoy it in its pristine state, though...

If you're like the rest of us, it will never look this way, again!!!

Windancer...Looks great!

We are just getting our new shop together...

We may have to have a rolling Western Washington shop tour one of these days!

In the spring maybe?

IS that a grizzly I see??? hehehe. Finally got to use mine. Works pretty good, but I keep hitting my hand on the motor housing when hollow grinding. Any tips? Also, I have melted the paint off of the tool rest. Seems to run pretty good, tracking is decent, not bad for flat grinding, but I can't do plunge cuts with the flat grind..gotta re adjust the upper wheel.

Thanks for the kind words. I found the shop pics really helpful when I was redoing mine from woodworking / Buck knife repair and remodeling to this new knifemaking.
The shop here is the end result of many, many explanations / suggestions from the more experienced folks here on this forum.

Andrew: No, that is my latest major tool addition, the infamous Grizzly knife grinder for $295 plus a half bottle of Tums while the Grizzly folks and I mailed things back and forth. A real workhorse once it was up and running. I am still glad that I bought the Griz.

Kalindras: My shop is not my way of making a living [I am a computer tech in the real world] so I can indulge my neatness quirk. I spend about 2 days a week there, and the last 3 hours is always cleanup for the coming week.

Running Dog: I like the idea, but I could only do justice to one shop a day. I have WAY too many questions for more than one

Let's discuss this in a new thread?

Taz: Yup, the Griz. I AM really pleased with it.

How's that dust evacuation system working for you?

I'll have to come up there one of these days and we'll have another knifemaking pow-wow.
