Anyone with experience of both?

The only tracker type knife that I like, is the Browning FDX, made by TOPS Knives.

Most Tracker types knives are trying to be an everything knife. Most look like they would fail at most tasks.

Here's TOPS TB Tracker.

Of the two, I would get the WT knife.

If you don't mind my saying, neither of those appears to me to be an "all in one" blade design. Both are heavily weighted towards being a chopper. If that's all you do with your knife, cool. But if you do other things with your knife other than chopping, you may wish to consider other options.

If I had to pick between the two the WTG would be my choice. I hate compound grinds

The only other issue w WTG is getting one, they only do limited drops on them...

I'll take none of the above for for 1000 Alex... Or at least 300-500 dollars. I guess I would have to ask what do you plan on doing with your knife that such a design would be useful? I would also suggest that actual trackers throughout history never owned a knife like that.

I have owned 5-10 of the M18. Never held a Work Tough Hemlock Ares.

The M18 is an odd bird in my opinion. I look at them as a problem looking for a solution. They are just ok at chopping. And......that's about it. Batoning them is chore for me because of the wacky blade and spine combo. I kept trying them in hopes that I would find them useful for my needs. Ultimately, they are not for me. Too heavy, awkward, and not very useful.

They do make nice improvised flapjack and hamburger flippers!

The WT looks more useful. But to me, it looks like it would suck at chopping. You might be able to do some halfway decent fine tasks with one. That wacky curve at the end of the handle..and the G10 scales make it a do not buy for me.

Life is short, get them both, put them thru their paces and ditch the loser!
